Live the California coastal dream in this romantic cottage for $1.1M

The Carmel-by-the-Sea cottage is everything you?ve ever wanted California?s Central Coast is one of those locales that crops up on your Instagram feed and makes you want to teleport there immediately. While we can?t promise instant transportation to that part of the Golden State that counts Big Sur as one of its draws, we can offer you a bit of real estate eye candy to get you fantasizing about a permanent move.
Located in the enchantingly named Carmel-by-the-Sea (or, simply, Carmel), this 1970s cottage is everything you?ve ever wanted: It?s quaint, rustic, romantic, dreamy, charming?all of the adjectives, if you will.

Practically speaking, it measures 1,429 square feet, has three bedrooms and three baths, glass expanses and skylights to enhance those killer ocean views, and two expansive decks. Not to mention a guest house and an artist studio with kiln.
What?s even more is that it perches on four extraordinary acres that boast redwoods, oaks, and fruit trees, plus raised beds for fruits and vegetables. In addition to the wilds of the grounds, a flat lawn makes for more civilized entertaining?and a game of croquet or badminton, as the listing helpfully notes. Oh, and the water supply is ?excellent.?
